About the Book Arts Lab
The Book Arts Lab is an interdisciplinary resource housed within the Shakespeare Press Museum at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Students, specifically those from historically marginalized communities, can utilize the space as an artistic outlet to share their experiences through written or visual projects.
Intended to foster community and build connections beyond the classroom, the Book Arts Lab will serve as a multidimensional student center for creativity, self-expression, and communal growth. All projects produced within the Book Arts Lab will be submitted to the Cal Poly Special Collections and Archives in order to give back to the Cal Poly community and diversify the gaps in campus representation.
