About
Alice Filmer is a Lecturer at Cal Poly Maritime Academy, teaching English composition to undergraduates. Recently retired as Professor of English language and linguistics, she taught for 15 years at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey. She has also been active in curriculum development as well as conducting faculty development training in teaching critical thinking, English grammar, and discourse analysis.
