My major and certificate programs infused a lifetime of literary passion to help me realize I'm a writer. Always will be. My resources?  Professors who discuss the future and techcomm classes that go beyond writing essays..

What advice would you give to someone interested in your profession?

I'm in advertising because it's a never-ending ride where my ticket is as valid as my ideas. Whatever the media, I like to keep it fresh. Impact the consumer. Spread some laughs. And make people think. If this sounds like your kind of thing, research copywriting and its many facets now. Determine where you want to live after graduation and go online to see what agencies are in the area.

Is there anything you'd like to personally add about how you found your way to your current career since graduating from Cal Poly as an English major?  Any memorable epiphanies that marked major turning points on which path you chose?

Joining the Technical Communication Program provided purpose for my English degree. I learned how to transform my passion for literature into a creative outlet in the work force.
